Check her out!!!

For weeks now, Sis has been complaining about not being able to see in class. Well, recently, AT&T finally paid Matt for his vacation days he didn't use before being terminated, and so I took the kids to get their eyes checked. Eli is good, but Sissy needs glasses for TV viewing and Classroom board work. Sure, eventually she just might end up with regular glasses on an everyday-all day basis, but for now, she's on limited use needed. We ordered her two pair, one for school and one for at home (and to serve as a spare).

Got the call today, went and picked them up....

Ain't she adorable?!?!?!

You know, I remember well my first pair. I didn't have the option of limited use, mine were everyday-all day wear, and I remember fighting tooth and nail to not have to use them. Even now, I prefer to wear my contacts since my prescriptions leaves me with serious "coke bottle" lenses. I was very happy (and even more relieved) when Sis was told of her partial need. She was ecstatic. She couldn't wait to tell her friends and she can't wait for Monday when she gets to take her school pair with her. I think it has something to do with the fact that if she doesn't have to sit close to the board, she gets to sit with her best friends.

When she put them on for the first time, she was so excited to read things that even I, with my coke bottle substitutes couldn't read. (I ordered a new pair of glasses for myself, so I wasn't wearing contacts at Costco this evening.) As a mom, I am so relieved and happy. One less trauma to overcome. Now if only her boyfriend still thinks she's cute when he sees her with her glasses.

More to tell later, but I have to wait for the details from Matt.

SMOOCHIES ya'll!!!!

That's what I said! I've been trying to explain to her she's too young, but NOOOOOO!! :p I think she's learning that I might know what I'm saying. :)
